wants to arrange it In such a way
that opportunity will be afforded
far the young working man in
town to receive physical train
ing.
“Young boys and students hava
received most of the physical In.
.traction in tho past,” Dr, Gentry
says, “but I hope to plan some
special programs which will ap
peal to the man in town. The
fall program will begin with cat
isthenlcs, gym work, swimming,
and similar athletics. I inten'
develop a corps of bo* lea
who can asaist in training the
younger hoya. A swimming course
for these ’leaders’ wil] be one of
tho things I want to put over.'
Dr. Gentry was on tho track team
at Vanderbilt, and it is thought
that he may do a good*, deal of.
work in this line also.
Roy Grayson, who will act as
boys’ secretary, will have charge
of leading the spiritual life
among the boys, forming pro
grams for work and entertain
ment, leading “Hi-Y” work, and
aaaiating Dr. Gentry in the'physi
cal program.
The Y. M. C. A. directors are
planning an “Open House” at the
Y building for Friday night. At
this time Dr. Gentry and Mr.'
Grayson will be introduced to the
friends of the Y and to* the boya
with whom they will come in
contact in the future. Boya and
men who are members of the 'Y,
boys who are non-memben, par
ents of tho boys, and friends who
have not come in contact with, the
Y before, are. invited to tho
“Open House.”
