It has been suggested that
Athena light her beautiful
shrubbery, as outdoor Christ
mas trees this year. Tbit is a
snlendld suggestion and one
that may be carried out with
but little trouble and expense
and those who have observed
trees elsewhere knew how
beautiful they are.
If the people of Athens will
decorate their living trees for
Christmas this year it will
add greatly to the spirit of
the occasion.
In every section of the city
there is symmetrical shrub
bery well adapted to electric
lighting and at small expense.
In most Instances an exten
sion cord may be run from a
hall socket and connected with
the lights on the tree.
Members of the local Boy
Scouts will be pleased to aid
in Installing the lights if call
ed upon. This aid may be se
cured through Weaves Bridgss,
scout executive at McDor-
mait-Bridges and any of the'
electrical concerns of the city'
concerns
will be pleased to gin infor
mation and assistance about
the lights.
These trees lighted on lawns
are much more striking than
those shining through wind
ows indoors; Of course then
will be the tree Inside for the
kiddies but those outside may
be enjoyed by all who see
them.
One has but to observe
some of tho beautiful shrub
bery nlong- our residential
streets to find the many
‘trees’ that can be lighted ef
fectively and it in hoped that
the people will catch the spirit
