~ Mr. G. T. Morris, aged 68, died
'at his home near Colbert at 5:30
| Sunday afternoon. Mr, Morris had
| been iil for .about hine days. Mr.
Morris was a native of Madison
;county. and had resided in that
section all of his life, where he
engaged in farming. He was wel
‘and favorably known throughout
that section, where he was re
garded as a substantial citizen and
community bailder. :
Mr. Morris is survived by his
widow, Mrs. Nancy Morris, anc
three daughters, Misses Lei a, Hee
sie and Linnie Morris; one son, C

Two of the youths, Carlton
Whitshead and Francis Cook, had
gotten out of the Thomas car and
started to the wa'kway leading to
the Hendren home, in front of
which the car was parked.
The young people had just re
turned from B. Y. P. U. and
preaching services at the Prince
Avenue Baptist church, and had
parked their car on the right side
of the road when. the accident
occurred. The car was standing

ment, it was said.
