Pastor’s Wife Dies

OKEECHQBEE, Fla.— (AP) —
Mrs. ‘Will Austin was drowned to
day when her automobile plunged
through a railing of a bridge over
the Kissimmee River and fell into
18 feet of water,
Mr. Austin, pastor of the Church
of God’ here, who was driving the
car, managed to crawl to safety
by kciking the glass out of the
door. He was severely cut. The
top of the machine was torn off
by Sherift William Colling and
Mrs. Austin’s body recovered.

The observance of student night

Thursday in the main dining
room. This event was in the form
of a banquet which was given by
the under-classmen to the mem
bers of the graduating c¢lass. Miss
Ruby Blackwelder, pres!de;xt of
the Junior clags, was master of
ceremonies, while' talks were made
by Miss Georgia Watson, presi
dent of the Freshman class; Miss
Leila Horsley, president of the
Sophomore class, and Miss Laura
Turner, president of 'the Senior
class.
