The denartment was authorized
to take up a plan for o-ganic
union with the United Presbyter
ian church, the reformed church
in America and other ‘eformed
churches, and was instructed to
report back to the next annual
meeting of the awssembly.
Favorable action had been an
ticipated on a vote to merge also
with the Presbyterian church in
the Uthited States, which is the
southern branch of the denomina
tion, havitg its own assembly and
government, but at the recent
meetine of that branch, =action
was taken forestalling any imme
diate consummation of the .lamu.

proving the unification vroposal

to the Georgia Peach Growers
Exchange, whose agents have
