has been let to the Empire Gran
‘ite company at Elberton, to cost
$1,682.
This memorial was obtained by
Congressman C. H. Brand of the
Eighth district. Nanecy Hart is
noted for her patriotism during
the Revolutionary war, one out
standing incident being of the
shooting of several Tories one dav
when they went to her house and
ordered her to cook a meal. Mrs.
Hart’s family was away in the
field at the time. The Tories had
killed a wild turkey and ordered
her to <¢oock it. Anticipating =2
fine meal the Tories stacked their
gins in a corner and hegah en
joying themselves.
