Broilers For Market
1.. S. Watson, Clarke county
agricultural agent announced
Wednesday that a woman living
in an adjoining county made more
than SIOO.OO per month for ten
weeks raising broilers. Mr. Wat
son said that she sold 800 broilers
for *25 cents per pound. After de
ducting the costs of chicks, feed
and fuel she had $257.50 for her
labor of ten weeks.
Mr. Watson says that farmers
around Athens ar ebeginning
to brook chicks for the April co
operative sale. The market in the
past has reached the high pein:
around the first of April, he said.
