NEW YORK.—(AP)—The stock
market followed the pattern of re
cent sessions Friday,: in bulging
up in the early dealings, then re
ceding from the best levels as the
session wore on.
The early upturn carried a num

much of this was lost by early
afternoon. The appearance of prof

an adverse effect upon shares. It
was notable, however, that* oils,

FURTHER ADVANCE
NEW YORK.—(AP)—A further

was followed by moderate reac
