The fifth Biennial Council,
(thirty-seventh annual meeting) of
the Georgia Federation of Women's
clubs is called to met in Savan
nah April 26 to April 29 inclusive.
Opening session Wednesday even
ing, April 26, closing session Sat
urday, April. 29, ‘
The Savannah Women's Federa
tion will be hostess. Mrs. J. S
Hawkins will be general chairman
of arrangements.
Sessions of the Council will bhe
held in Hotel' De Soto, official
headquarters. Mrs., 5. 1. Coleman,
of Barnesville, i{s State Chairman
on Credentials which will be in
session at the Hotel De Soto from
2:00 to 5:00 Wednesday, Apvil 26,
and each morning thercafler. Cre
dential and reply cards are en
closed with this call. Please notify
promptly Mrs. E. ‘L. Coleman.’

istration fee of fifty cents applies
to the delegate body and visitors,

State Council. Article 7, Section
5, “The voting body of the Coun
cil of Georgia Federation of Wom
en’s Clubs shall consist =of the
members of the Executive board,
presidents of the clubs or their al
ternates elected by the clubs”—
“The Council shall have the right
to vote on all questions except the
election of officers and amend
ments to the Constitution.”
All Resolutions must be in the
hands of the Chairman, Mrs. A, H.
Brenner, 940 Hickman Road, Au
gusta, not later than two weeks
prior to Council. Four typed
copies must be furnished. Resolu
tion must be wresented by a mem
ber of the Georgia Federation of
Women’s Clubs and endorsed by‘
the Department or Division chair
man under which it functions. '

dorsed by the State President as
an ‘“Enyergency”.

will hold a brief meeting divectly
following adjournment on Saturday,
in assembly room.
A rate of one fare plus twenty+
five cents is promised by the rail
roads. Many delightful social af
fairs ingluding receptions. heach
barbecue and state-wide pageant
are planned for our entertainment.

ter banquet at the Y. W. C. A.
This is a community affair spon
soied by the clubs of the associ
ation in which any mothers with
their daughters may share a love
ly hour of fellowship and closer
understanding.
An interesting program with a
good speaker and tableaux and
other features to be given by
Girl Reserves is Dbeing planned,
and the committee in charge is
expect.ng to make this the best
of the banquets. The “bauquet”
or supper .wiil be planned and
prepared by members of the Y.
W. C. A. board of directors at a
price within reach of everyhody.
It has been customary so- some
of the “dads” to serve the moth
ers and daughters on this occas
ion.
Dates for making reservations
will be announced later and it is
likeiy that a limited number of
rescrvations will be accepted. The
supper will be held in the gym
nasium this year, and an added
attiaction wiil be the hobby show
that is being planned for the same
time. Lvery girl who has a hobby

COLLEGE OPENS SUMMER
SESSION ON JUNE 12
On June 12th, the Academy, the
High school department of Teach
ers College Training school, will
open for a six weeks' summer
session. The courses offered will
be determined by the requests and
they will be taught by members
of the Academy faculty.

ble so definite plans can be made
to offer the course desired. A
small fee will be charged, but all
books will be furnished.
