PERSONAL MENTION
The continved critical illness of
Mrs. James White has saddened
‘the entire community, and everys
bory is praying and hoping for her
yecovery. Mrs. AWhite' has been a
benediction to Athens and no ont¢
claims more loyal and devoted
friends, all of whom are inexpress«
ibly grieved over her long illness,
1t is pathetic to see her gates
closed to her lovely home, where
they have always been thrown
open to the public. No home in
Athens or elsewhere has dispensed
such beautiful hospitality, always
‘with her charm and graciousness,
Her great sympathy with the less
fortunate has been expressive and
outstanding in her countless deeds
of charity. ?
Probably no person ever contrib
‘uted to the joy and bheauty of liv
ing as has. Mrs. White, and as we
sit under the great sorrow of her
illness we earnestly pray that her“
precious life may be spared to
loved ones and friends. —A. A.‘
