Bob Ingersoll, with equal propri

the cause of Christianity, as for a
conclave of lawyers, guano agents,
broken-down politicians, New York
drummers, shoe-makers, ad infini
tum, to convene and call themselves
an “Agricultural Convention.” We
would like for the indignant “Rich

gates for the past five or more years
and see how many farmers he can
find! This a fair test and we are
willing to submit to it.

our prediction—they have foisted

stops all small leaks on tin or shin
gle roofs, and will make them last
for thirty years. Messrs. John W.
Nicholson, R. K. Reaves, J. C. Pit-

and other prominent citizens say
that it is the best roof paint in the
world, as their buildings were leak

water and fire proof. Call on or

Brown’s Iron Bitters
is one of the very few tonic
medicines that are not com
posed mostly of alcohol or
whiskey, thus becoming a
fruitful source of intemper
ance by promoting a desire
for rum.
Brown’s Iron Bitters
is guaranteed to be a non
intoxicating stimulant, and
it will, in nearly every case,
take the place of all liquor,
and at the same time abso
lutely kill the desire for
whiskey and other intoxi

Rev. G. W. Rice, editor of

Dr. B. J. Kf.ndall <k Co.: Gents—Having used
a good deal of your Kendall's Spavin Cure with
great saccess. I thought 1 woulu let you know
what it has doue for me. Two years ago I had
os speedy a colt as was ever raised in Jefferson
county. When I was breaking him, he kicked
over the cross bar and got fast and tore one of his
hind legs all to pieces, i employed th best far
rlers, but they all said he was spoiled, .fe had a
very large thorough-pin. au<l 1 used two bottles
of your Kendall’* Spavin Cure, and it took the
bunch entirely off. and he sold afterwards for
$1,801) (dollars.) I have used it for bone sp&vitis
aud wind galls, an<l it has always cured com
pletely and left the leg smooth.
It is a splendid medicine for rheumatism. I
have recommended it to a good many, and they
all say It does the wo»k. 1 was in Witberingto*
& Kneeland’s drug store, in Adams, the other
day and s«w a very fine picture you sent them.
I tried to buy it but could not; they said if I
would writ© to you that you would send nte one.
1 wish you would. Mud 1 will do all the good I
can. Very respectfully. E. S. Lyman.
