SUICIDE IN JACKSON COUNTY.

Neal Vandiver was found dead in
her yard last Friday morning, with
a razor by her side and her throat
cut, 3 miles from Jefferson—another
suicide. "Cap Hunter,” colored,
who was sent to the chain gang and
served his time out for forgery, is in
jail in Atlanta., His mother has
sold her only cow to pay him out
of jail. ~ ***
HABERSHAM COURT.
More than too cases were docket
ed at Habersham court. Of these
ten were divorce cases—eight of
the applicants being white and two
colored. Five total divorce cases
were granted. Thirty-nine true
bills were found. Judge Estes pre
sided with dignity, ability and im
partiality.

It is now stated that Mr. John A.”
Stephens, the nephew of the late
Governor, will remove the remains
of Mr. Stephens from Atlanta as
soon as a suitable place can be pre
pared. and have them interred at or
near Liberty Hall, where he always
loved to live and longed to rest bv
his mother’s side in death.
