This is an important matter and superior court judges are now required by law to submit the subject in their charges to the grand jury. How John G. Carlisle, of^Kentuchy, has been renominated for congress by acclamation in the Covington district. The cause of revenue reform is still live in the Ittuc Grass State. Mr. Carlisle has no iron furnaces to protect and no Republican constituency to propitiate. IIis cause will be endorsed by the na tional democracy when he is unanimous' ly re-elected to the speakership of the House. Tnr announcement is made of the marriage next week at Decatur of llev, Clemant A. Kvans, of Augusta, to Mrs W. H. Howard, of that place. Gen. Kr ans is one of the most promiuent and one of the most lovable inen in Georgia.
