Mr. Monaghan, United States consul
at Blamiheim, recently paid a visit to tho
city of Pforzlieitn, in Baden, with a view
to seeing how German jewelers excelled
those of the United States.* He found

jets, after which it is rubbed, cut into

cut and trimmed, and, after various
manipulations, comes into the salesroom
