Dr. LI|>seomb.
This remarkable and distinguished
gentleman is in Macon, lecturing at
Wesleyan Female College. It is as
tonishing how much work so feeble a
man can do. His prolific brain is
never idle. Even while confined to
his home by sickness, be does regular
work, and with the "pen of a ready-
writer,” he daily puts on record, for
the benefit of others, the profound
philosophy evolved from his great
mind and heart.

At hens in many a day. Miss Ethel

The bridesmaids were Miss Claude

Never have we seen a fairer bride

ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr.

the presence of her sisters, parents,
kint-people and friends, Miss Ethel
Hnmiltun plighted her troth to Mr.
James S. Davent, in the vow ol
a woman whose character is as pure
and lovely as who is personally beauti-
inl.
The bride’s dress was of the most
elegant satin, made with sweeping
train, Elizabethan shoulder knots, and
it shimmered and glistened with her
tvery movement, and set off to great
advantage her queenly figure. The
bridesmaids were all in white, ex
cept Miss Emily Hamilton,
who wore a most becoming
pink dress, en iraine, tastily trimmed
with lace; -Mira Nathalie Hamilton
alto wore a train. The other attend
ants wore short dresses.
