Smith, Vico-President of Emory College, died at his home in Oxford, last Thursda; y evening. De ceased was an able and zealous cliris- l ian minister, and his death leaves a void in Methodism that will,not soon be filled. —Col. Alexander died at one (•’clock on Sunday, at his residence. The immediate cause of his death was congestion of the lungs and liver. Dr. Owens stales that his death was caused by pain—a very unusual cir cumstance.
