Return Days Over Tuesday, Are
Numerous Interesting Cases
When the clerk of the courts of
c lirk« county yesterday morning set
about the task of docketing the cases
which were Hied on the last return
day for the city court of November,
the third Monday being the day for

that he had less than for several

that American cotton will ha allowed
to go through to Germany and Aus
tria, American vessels are being
sought In New York to carry the flrat
shipments.

A rather unusual co-lncldence on
the docket Is that every dally news
paper In Atlanta, the Constitution, the

class” of the State of Georgia, has
with the approbation of the French
Ambassador to the United States,
named a Franco American committee
whose purpose is to raise money to
relieve somewhat the misery and suf
fering of those Belgian and French
families who were obliged to leave

northern France tonight says that it is reported that
the German army is falling back all along the line, from

County Fair In progress this week at
Commerce which were brought back
Athena last night by those who
went up to that exposition yesterday
—the occasion Is a moat successful
event.
The fair, which has come to be an
annual Institution, embraces in the
territory covered the counties of Jack-
Banks, Madison and Franklin,
four counties take an Interest in
