Section’ 1. Be It ordained by the
Mayor and Council of the City of Ath
oub and it is hereby ordained by au
thority of same, that the following de
scribed sidewalks, which are without
the fire limits of the City of Athens
shall be curbed in the manner hero
in set forth, to-wlt:
Section 2.—The sidewalks to be
curbed arc on the north and south
side of Washington'street In the City
ef Athens, from the western Inter
section bf Hull street to the eastern
Intersection of Pulaski street, which

ing from within the fire limits of the
City of Athens. The said Sidewalk
shall be curbed with grantte curbing
five inches In thickness and eighteen
Inches in depth, to he of sound gran

depth of ten Inches, and four IncheB on
the back. v
Section 3. Be It ordained toy the
authority aforesaid that the owllers of
real estate abutting on said portions
of said sidewalk above described shall
curb the same In the manner above
set forth Immediately in front and
abutting their respective properties
within fifteen dnys from the passago
of this ordinance, the work to bo done
under the supervision of the Street
Commissioner of the City of Athens.
3ectton 4. Be it further ordninod
by tho authority aforesaid that if any
owner or owners of lots abutting on
the said portions of said sidewalks
shall fail and refuse tp curb the said
sidewalk immediately In front of their
property within the time or In the
manner described In this ordinance,
the Mayor and Council of the City of
Athens shall curb the same, and the
cost of said curbing Immediately I.',
front of each lot ahuttlng on said
sldowalk shall be paid by the owner
thereof, and the amount of said cost
Is hereby assessed against the said
particular reap estate and the said |
owner. Each of the said property!
owners Is required to pay for such
curbing of said sidewalk as is imme-|
diately In front of and abutting their
respective lots an amount equal to
that which It cost the Mayor anil
Council of the City of Athens to lay

88(1 of the Code of 191S of tho City of
Athens, and the said amount of costj
for curbing Immediately In front of
each lot or parcels of land is horeby
declared to be a lien on said proper
ty from the date of the passago of tills,
ordinance.
Section 6. ' Be it further ordained j
by the authority aforesaid that In the 1

Section 6. Be It further ordained
that when said sidewalk has been
curbed by the Mayor and Council of
tho City of Athens, it shall ascertain
according to the methods above set
forth the amount due by each property
owner whose real estate abuts said
Improved sidewalk, and an Itemized
hill of the said work shall be made
out and presented to each of the said
property owners as prescribed in See
Hon <186 of tho Code of 1918 of the
City of Athens, and after the explra-
ens.
Section 8. Be it further orda ml
that all ordinances, or parts of i r.
nances, in conflict with this ordlnjn
