Rube Play at Palace
Onre mote Charles Ray has demon
,Bated in the delineations of so-called
rube characters he is by far the peer
of all motion picture stars.
This time he proves his superlpc
talent as a portrayer of “hick" parts

and today.
Bay takes the part of IIOBlali Howe,
a hard-working farmer lad of happy
disposition, with a widowed mother
and little sister to provide for. It Is
exaggeration to say that in this
role he has contributed to the screen
a character that ranks as one of the
most noteworthy achievements of the
silent drama.
The photoplay Is filled with humor
and pathos, with a spirit of optimism
predominating. It Is one of those
clean-cut, wholesome cinema produc
tions that never fall to leave an au
dience thoroughly refreshed.
