of 49 per annum from their date,
namely, January 1, 1934, said in
terest to be payable semi-annually
on the first day of January and
the first day of July of each year
until the maturity of said bonds;
said bonds shall mature and be

year thereafter for twenty-four
years $1,500.00 per year and on
January Ist of each five years
thereafter $2,600.00 per year.
The $50,000.00 of bonds for cer
tain improvements in the schools
of sald city, if issued, shall be 100

Copies may be obtained upon pay
ment of $2.00, in advance, which
sum will not be refunded except

Upon compliance with require
ment of plans and specifications
said work will be paid for as the
same progresses, to-wit: On or
about the sth day of each month,
85 percent ot the value, of labor
and materials incorporated in the
work, and materials suitably
stored at the site thereof up to the
first day of that month, the Tre
mainder within thirty days after
final completion and acceptance.
Proposals shall be submitted on
regular forms which will be sup
plied by the wundersigned and
must be accompaneid by a certi
fied check for five percent of the
amount bid, and must be sealed
and marked “Proposal for Prince
ton School.” Bond will be re
quired of the successful bidder as
required by law.
Attention of the prospective bid
ders is called to the scale of
wages, working conditions and
other provisions affecting labor
which will apply on this project.
These conditions are set out fully
in the specifications and are re
quired by the Federal Emergency
Administration of Public Works.

the exparding problems relating
to taxation, education and public
highways and thus by cooperation
and mutual help aid the various
counties in formulating plans and
policies which will result in better
and more economical gvoernment.
3. The corporation mnot being
organized for pecuniary gain, will
have no capital stock but will re
ceive its working capital from
contributions, dues nad assess
ments upon its members.
4. The principal office of said
assoeiation shall be in the City of
Athens, Clarke County, Georgia,
however, the association desires
the authority and prviilege of mov
ng its principal office from Athens
to other loeations in this State
upon a majority vote of the Board
of Managers.
5. Petitioners desire that said
corporation may have the right to
elect a Board of Managers by a
vote of its members and to elect a
President, Ist Vice President, 2nd
Vice President, and a 3rd Vice
President. Petitioners desire the
right and authority for the Board
of Managers to elect or appoint a
Secretary and Treasurer and such
other officers as may be necessary
for the conduct of its affairs.
6. Petitioners further desire the
authority to adopt by-laws and
regulations governing the conduct
of its officers and its affairs as
well as regulating its membership;
said by-laws to be adopted at the
first convention held subsequent
to the granting of its charter; and
to be changed thereafter only by a
copy of the proposed amendment
being submitted in writing to the
secretary and to each member of
the Board of Managers at least
‘thirty days before the date set for
ithe convention and then only upon
a vote of approval by two-thirds
iof the members present at the
convention.
7. Petitioners desire the right to
sue and be sued, to plead and be
impleaded, to contract and be con
tracted with, to have and use a
common seal and do. all things
necessary for the successful car
rying out of its aims and purposes,
including the right to buy, hold
and sell_real estate and personal
property suitable for its purposes,
and to execute notes and bonds as
evidence .of indebtedness which
may be incurred in the conduct of
its affairs and to secure same by
mortfage and other liens under
existing law.
‘Wherefore, petitioners pray to
be incorporated under the name
and style aforesaid with the pow
ars, privgeges and immunities
herein set forth, and as are now,
or may hereafter be, allowed a
corporation of similar character
under the laws of Georgia.

Barwick to J. A. Hunnicutt, dated

same tract also descrbied in a deed
from John W. Ware, Sheriff, to
Bank of the University, recorded
in Book “QQ,” page 210, and is the
same property conveyed to John
N. Cralton by deed of the Bank
of the University, recorded in
Book “00,” folio 535, said records
in the office of the Clerk of Sup
erior Court of Clarke County,
Georgia, excepting, however, two
tracts, one containing seven acres
as described in deed from John N.
Carlton to Mrs. M. W. Hodnett,
dated July 24th, 1925, and record
ed in Deed Book 43, folio 127, and
twenty acres as per plat and sur
vey recorded in Book 42, folio 434,
said office, leaving the acreage
conveyed by this deed 48.5, same
being formerly the home place of
Mrs. G. L. Hunnicutt.
The above described property
levied upon and to be sold as the
property of John N. Carlton, un
der and by virtue of an execution
issued from the City Court of
Athens, said County, March 9th,
1933, in favor of Mrs: J. G. Gray
vs. John N. Carlton.
Written notice of said levy given
to owner of said land and to ten
ant in possession as required by
law. Deed for the purpose of levy
and sale filed and recorded before
levy made, as required by law.

A copy of the NRA retail code,
recently signed by President
Roosevelt, has been received by
Postmaster Paul Smith, who an
nounces that it is open to inspec
tion by all who so desire.
Postmaster Smith said many
Athens merchants had asked to be
advised when the code arrived.
The copy is on the desk of the
postmaster who invites all who
care to examine it to do so, but
to leave it on the desk for others
to inspect. 1

WASHINGTON.— (AP) — The
administration watched its gold
operations club the dollar to a
record low level Thursday and
then added another dime to the
price it will pay for the metal
when newly mined in the United
States.
London dispatches told of an
overnight drop of 4 3-8 cents in
the exchange value of the dollar
as against the pound, opening at
$498 1-2. As the trading oro
gressed the dollar fell to $5.01 i-2,
