IN MEMORIAM
[ In remembrance of our dear Daddy
who left us one year ago
I yesterday—William B. Winn j
’ln our home is a vacant place |
~ We miss that dear sweet smibl
| ing face, |
And in our minds will always
linger, 1
The thoughts and gorrow of how|
he passed,
The second day of January.
Now as we think of your smiling
face,
It stops us almost still,
For in our home is a vacant place,
That never will be filled.
But we hope some day to meet
you,
In that sweet home above,
In the arms of our Savior,
Where there is nothing but peacel
and love.
The dreadful pains vou had tni
bear,
Is something very sad,
But we are going to meet you therel
On that celesteal shore, ¢
I cannot say, I must not say,
He is not dead, he is just away,
With a gleeful smile, and the work
of his hand,
He has wandered away to ano
ther land.
X -—BY FAMILY.
A TRIBUTE
(To Mr. G. T, Doster, who died
December 28, 1934.)
On a dark and cloudy evening,
Just the end of another day,
God called and said, Mr. Doster,
I've come to take you away-
Where there is no death and sor
row,
Where vou will never shed a
tear.
You may sing with all the angles
And your Savior will be near.
You may rcgm tarough Heaven's
gardens,
You may walk the streets of gold,
1 will give to you a mansion,
Treasureg more than have been
told.
You shall have a long white robe,
And a harp with golden strings,
Then you can sing your Savior's
praises, .
And that will be worth every
thing.,
There’s a vacant chair at home
That will ne’er be filled again,
But he's gone to that white city,
And will never more know pain.
His voice is silent in thig world,
His life on earth is o'er,
But he is talking with his Savior,
Over on the other shore.
ANNIE and ELLA WALLACE.
