The recently formed Student
Veteran’s Organization of the Uni
versity of Georgia will meet Tues
day at 7:00 p. m. in the Fine Arts
iAuditorium to discuss campus
‘housing and other periinent mat
ters, according to Frank Myers,
president of the group.
Approximately 800 new vete
rans have enrolled at the Univer
sity for the spring quatter. In or
der to familiarize these new siii
!dents with the aims and purposes
oi the Siudent Veterans Organiza
tion, Myers recently made the fol
lowing statement: x
“This organization is striving to
aid in the development of the Uni~
versity of Georgia. We believe that
it is the veteran’s responsibility as
citizens to express views and at
titudes concerning college life
here. This organization furnishes
a medium to express his opinion
and it provides a focal point for
veteran’s problems as related to
student life.
President Myers also stated that
he and the other student veteran
officers extended a hearty wel
come to all veterans coming to the
University campus for the first®
time and to all men ' returning
here after service in the armed
forces. .
