Wed At Recent Ceremony In Crawford
CRAWFORD, Ga.'— Mr. and
vrs. David C. Jordan of Crawford,

‘heir daughter, Margaret Virginia,
{0 Oscar K. Battle, jr., of Columy
hue and Thomaston. The marriage
was solemnized at the Crawford
\ethodist Church on April 20 at
4:00 o’clock, with the Rev. J.‘H.
wyatt performing the impressive
double ring ceremony.
A series of pre-nuptial musical
«olections was presented by Miss
Jo Mildred Jordan, eousin of the
bride, and David G, Jardan, jr.,
hrother of the bride, sang.
Serving as usher-groomsmen
ere Robert K. Boydell and Den
ton F. Johnson, both® of Athens.
Joe 1. Battle of Columbus acted
as his brother’s best man.
The bride’s only attendant was
Miss Elizabeth Shivar of Athens
wha served as maid of honor. She
was attractively attired in a light
pink dress with pink and blue ac
cessories. Her corsage was of pink
carnations and blue iris.
The altar was beautifully deco
rated with pines and ferns.: On
each side stood tall baskets filled
vith white calla lilies and gladioli.

The bride entered . with her
father, who gave hed in marriage,
and was met at the altar by the
groom and the best man. For her
wedding Miss Jordan ehose a
powder blue crepe " dress with
powder blue shoes and halo hat
of flowers. Her elbow-length
¢loves were also light blue and
she carried. a white’satin prayerJ

Mrs. Broadhurst will make their
home temporarily in Athens.
