Old Barn Art Exhibit
The Old Barn in the rear of Miss Nina Scudder’s home at 490
South Milledge avenue will be open from 4 to 10 p. m. Thursday,
May 16, for a private showing of her students work. Parents and
special guests of the young people are expected at that time.
However, on Friday, May 17, the Barn will be open all day, to
further accommodate any others who are particularly interested
in children’s art.
Lamar Dodd, of the Fine Arts Department, has graciously con
cented to act as judge. Bill Patton, of the airport, will judge the
separate group of airplanes.

' Annual Art Auction, Tuesday at
8:00 p. m.
~ 'Lew Tilley, instructor at Color
ado Springs, Colorado Fine Arts
Center contributed an aqua tint
entitled “Adolescent Adumbra
tions”—his conception of young
love. Mr. Tilley has made a reput
ation as the ‘illustrator of Thomas
Wolfe’'s novel “Look = Forward
Angel.”
Edith Hodgson, daughter of
Hugh Hodgson, has sent in a series
of fine animal sketches suitable
for nursery decorations. Miss
Hodgson is now a production il
lustrator with the RCA Corpor
ation in Philadeiphia, Penn.
Lelia Cheney, now instructor in
art at Shorter College, Rome has
contributed a watercolor depicting
a mountain landscape in north
Georgia.
