The senior class of Athens High
gchool will present “Dead of the
Night,” a three-act mystery farce
py James Reach, on May 17, in
Mell Auditorium. It will be
shown through special arrange~
ment with gamuel French of New
york. Mr. James Hussey, of the
English department, will be the
director.
“Dead of the Night” was de
seribed by a New York critic as
a “chilling, thrilling, mystifying
evening’s entertainment contain-’
ing some of the funniest, ~most
side-splitting comedy scenes
you've ever witnessed.”
The cast 18 headed by the cap
able Caroline Heery and Hoke
Nash. Miss Heery will portray
Alice Gardner, a pretty, young
writer. Mr. Nash will portray
Glenn, Who doesn’t think heg
crazy
Julia Ann Marlowe has the part
of Jasmine, Miss Gardner’s col
ored maid. Woody ~Ansley will
play Dr Edward Lawson, a psy
chiatrist. Janet Epting will be
Mrs. Egg, the sinister housekeep
er. Charlie Crawford will portray
Steve Holbrook, owner of Hol
brook Manor. Alice FErwin will
portray Roberta Best, Glenn’s
fiancee

low to place them in cardboard
cartons, etc.; at the close of
her demonstration the members
were served some delicivus fro
zen berries. !
