Doolittle.
Mrs. Macon Allen, president,’
opened the meeting by members
singing “Thow Out' the Life Line”
followed by the Lards’ Prayer in’
unison.
Mrs. T. D. Howell had charge of |
the program, subject being, “The !
Orient” Mrs. Howell read the.
Bible Study from Isaiah 48:8-13. |
The half of the world, which’ is.

must be rebuilt and the building
must start on the firm foundation
of faith in God and in His Son,
Jesus Christ.
Closing ' song,- “Rescue the
Perishing” was sung and Mrs. Ma
con Allen led in prayer.
After the business session a
social hour was enjoyed with the
hostess serving delicious refresh=-
ments. :

Miss Jean Rooney, Decatur, 1946
graduate of the Henry W. Grady
School of Journalism, University
of Georgia, has been named editor
and business manager of a house
organ which will be published by
the Orkin Exterminating Company
of Atlanta.
While at the University, Miss
Rooney made a superior scholastic
record, and was active in student

affairs, being a member of the Stu-~
dent Voters League and Red and
Black staff. She attended Agnes
Scott College prior to entering the
University of Georgia last Septem~
ber.
