Are you going through the functional
‘middle age’ period peculiar to women
(38 to 52 yrs.)? Does this make you
suffer from hot flashes, feel so nerv
ous, high-strung, tired? Then po try

LYDIA E. PINKHAM'S compouno
ny, though new to most listen
ers, would “grow” in appeal with
more hearings. The first move

good.
The Wagnerian group, listing
the Prelude to “Lohengrin,” Good
Friday Spell from *“Parsifal,” and
Introduction to Act 111 from “Die
Meistersinger” possibly was the
most familiar and best-liked part
of their program, judging from
the applause that followed, The
appreciative audience continued
to appland until the orchestra of
fered the second movement of
Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony as
an encore.
Mr. Mitropoulos is a dynmatic
conductor. He uses neither score
nor baton, ang gets remarkable
effects that command the respect
of his orchestra and charm his
listeners.
