Tidwell Rites
Held Tuesday
Phillip Ozzie Tidwell, well
known Danielsville resident, died
unexpectedly at Lyons, Ga., Mon
day morning at 3 o'clock. Mr. Tid
well was 52 years old and had béen
visiting in Lyons for two weeks.
Services were conducted Tues
day afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from
Providence Baptist Church in
Madison county, Rev. M. H. Callo
way, officiating. Burial followed
in Providence cemetery, Bernstein
Funeral Home in charge of ar
rangements.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. R. L. Carson and
Mrs. H. A. Durham, both of
Greenville, S. C.; two brothers, N.
J. Tidwell, Colbert, and W. T.
Tidwell, Greenville, S. C., and
four grandchildren.
A native of Oglethorpe county,
Mr. Tidwell was a member of the
Raptist church and had many
friends. throughout this section

N. Y., will regret to learn of the
death of her husband, Mr. Ed
Stokes, who passed away Sunday,
Aug .
Mrs. Stokes wi(l be remember
ed as the former Miss Eunice Parr,
of this city, having moved to
Brooklyn, N. Y., some years ago.
Mr. Stokes is survived by his
wife, two sons and one daughter,
