58, who died at his home in
Comer Wednesday morning, were
gonducted Thursday afternoon at
4 o'clock from Mt. Pleasant
Methodist Church.
Officiating was Rev W. D.
Gray, pastor of the Methodist
church in Crawford. Burial fol
lowed in Crawford, Bernstein
Funeral Home in chaige of ar
rengements. Pall-bearers were
Hinton Paul, Paul Matthews,
John Mell Cunningham, Howard
Cunningham, Lioyd Smith and
W. R. Berryman,
Mr. Adams is survived by a
deaughter, Miss Phoebe Adams,
Tifton; son, Charles E. Adams,
jr., Auburn, Ala.; two sisters,
Mrs. Luke Wood, Crawford and
Mrs. Maggie Cunningham, Lex
ington and a brother, Jessie
Adams, Carlton.
Born in White county Ga., he
had been a resident of Oglethorpe
county for thirty years and was
a member of the Methodist
church.

Nisbet lost his life in combat
during the invasion of Guam
Island on July 22, 1944. He is
survived by his mother, Mrs.

learn of the death in Cornelia,
Ga., Thursday mroning of W. B.
Thompson, former resident of
Madison county. Mr. Thompson
died following a heart attack.
Services will be held TFriday
afternoon at 8 o'clock from Dia
mond Hill Christian Church in
Madison county and burial will
follow in Hart cemetery.
Mr. Thompson is survived by
four sisters, Mrs. R. F. Winfrey,
Danielsville; Mrs. H. M. Edwards,
Athens, and Mrs. W. A. Whit
worth and Mrs. J. E. Benton,
both of Colbert; three brothers,
R. F. Thompsen, Hull, and D. H.
and Hosea Thompson, both of
Colbert; and four sons, Hewell
Thompson and Phil Thompson,
both of Commerce, and Garreit
and Cleveland Thompson, both

Mr. Thompson had been a
resident of Cornelia for the pas?
