every contractor in the state, and
in no doubt will bankrupt many

Annual Rally
Next Saturday
ATLANTA, Ga. — Georgia Fu
ture Farmers of America will
hold their annual rally in the
City Auditorium at Macon next
Saturday morning.
More than 1,000 FFA-ers—high
school students of vocational ag
riculture — are expected to at
tend the rally which is held each
year during the State Fair.
Many Future Farmers will ar
rive in Macon Friday to partici
pate in the seed, tree and shrub
identification contest and the
livestock judging even which will
be held at the fair grounds Fri
day afternoon.
The Saturday program will in
clude the awarding of prizes in
Colored School Children

convention in Kansas City, Mo,

award and to receive the Honora
ry Georgia Planter degree. The
Star Planter will be selected from
199 boys receiving the Georgia
Planter degree, highest honor
which the state association can
confer on a member. ,
T. H. Bonner, director of the
Chilean Nitrate Educational Bu
reau will award free trips to the
national convention to those
teachers whose chapters won the
district chapter contest and to
four outstanding candidates for
the American Farmer degree. The
teachers are E. H Cheek of'
Blakely, J. G. Hatcher of Ten
nille, L. E. Baker of Danielsville
and J. R. Cook of Greenville. The
American Farmer nominees are
Jodie Z. McKinley of Lyons, Law
rence Bush, jr., of Forsyth. James
Huff of Eastman and Charles
Lovinggood of Powder Springs.
