Recently Completed
The bank recently completed
several months of work that great
ly expanded the space for the
various departmetns and provided
more and improved faciiities for
the convenience and comfort of
its patrons and staff.
The great increase in business
since the bank opened on August
1, 1925, made necessary the ex
pansion and modernization if the
bank is to continue to offer the
services to its patrons which it
desires, said Robert V. Watterson,
executive vice-president of the
bank. Mr. Watterson pointed out
when the bank opened for business
here, it occupied only one floor
and employed five persons. Today
the bank’s space has been expand
ed to three floors and the num
ber of persons employed in
creased to thirty-three.
Yesterddy and last night, the
many who visited the bank were
taken on a tour by members of
the staff, in which they were
shown every feature of the in
stitution, and many times during
the Open House visitors were
heard to comment: “There’s not a
finer bank in Georgia.” Through
out, the bank was a profusion of
flowers, expressions of friendship
from individuals and business con
cerns.
Expresses Appreciation
“We were made most happy
yesterday afternoon and last night
by the many friends who called
by the bank to see the expanded
and improved facilities we have
installed, and who expressed
themselves in such glowing terms.
We deeply appreciate also. the
