CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
LESSON-SERMON
Services of Christian Science
Society are held in the Georgian
Hotel Sunday mornings at 11:15
o'clock. Subject o 1 today’'s Lesson-
Sermon is: SUBSTANCE .
Sunday School 9:45 a. m. Wed
nesday evening meetings, includ
ing testimonies of healing through
Christian Science, are held at the
Georglan Hotel on the first Wed
nesday of cach month at 8 o'clock.
The public is invited.
Among the citations which com
prize the Lesson-Sermon is the
following from the Bible: Now
fa'th is the substance of things
huped for, the evidence of things
not seen. Through faith we under
stand that the worlds were framed
by the word of God, +o that things
which are seen were nct made of
tlt;u;gss which do appear. Hebr.
The Lesson-Sermon also in
cludes the following nassage from
the Christian Science textbook,
“Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures” by Mary Baker
Fddy: Truth, Life, and Love are
substance, as the Scriptures use
this word in Hebrews' “The sub
stance of things hcped for, the evi
dence of things not seen.” Spirit,
the synonym of Mind, Soul, or
God, is the only real substance.
The spiritual universe, including
individual man, is a compound
idea, reflecting the divine- sub
stance of Spirit. S & H 468:18.
