CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
" LESSON-S§ERMON
Services =of istian Science
Society are held in the Georgian
Hotel Sunday mornings at 1115
o'clock. Subject of the Lesson
‘Sermon for Sunday, March 12 is:
SUBSTANCE.
Sunday School 9:45 a. m., Wed~
nesday ' evening meetings, igclud—
ing testimonies of healing through
Christian Science, are held at the
Georgian Hotel on the first Wed
nesday of each month at 8 o’clock,
The public is cordially invited.
Among the citations which com
prise the Lesson-Sermon is the
following from the Bible: For what
man knoweth the things of man,
save the spirit of man which is
in him? even so the thing of God
knoweth no man, but the Spirit
of God. Now we have received, not
the spirit of the world, but the
spirit which is of God; that we
might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. I Cor.
S 13
The Lesson-Sermon also in
cludes the following passages from
the Christian Science textbook,
«Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures” by Mary Baker
Eddy; Spirit is the only substance
and consciousness recognized by
divine Science. Matter, with its
mortality, cannot be substantial if
Spirit is substantial and eternal,
Which ougt to be substance to us—
the qrxm and dylnp.
FAM PO @A P e
‘thie’ mu e:fid finc’m?afl, of tha'tine
erring, immutable, and immortal?
Spirit, God, has created all in and
of Himself. Spirit never created
matter. There is nothing in Spirit
out es which matter could be
made, for, as the Bible declares,
without the Logoal the AE on
or Word of God, “was not any
thing made that was made.” Spirit
is the only substance, the invisi
ble and indivisible infinite God.
