been chosen as “Mother of the
Year” for Clemson College. The
honor was conferred upon her be
cause she is the mother of the col
lege’s outstanding military grad
uate—the late Lt. Col. A. J. Dyess
of the Marines, the only Clemson
graduate to receive the Congress
ional Medal of Honor.,

—The Medical College of Georgia
will award 79 degrees—one post
humously—at exercises here June
5. The posthumous degree will be
awarded to Stanley McCarty Rob
inson of Savannah, who died
March 4, after registering for his
final quarter at the school.

have been imported to California
during the past five eyars, reports
the University’s College of Agri
culture. They came from various
areas of the United States as well
as from foreign countries through
out the world.
In adaptation trials, the new
grasses are planted in various
counties to see where they will do
well and produce better range
feed.

TOURIST BUTTONS
TEL AVIV, Israel — (AP) — If
ywou're a tourist in Israel, every
body soon knows it. The tourist
department is issuing an attrac
tive button to every visitor in this
country. It bears a six-pointed
star and an inscription in Hebrew
that denotes “tourist.” The tourist
bureau, advertising in newspapers
here urged every Israeli citizen to
welcome wearers of the button
everywhere they go.
