TITO—TARGET FOR TOMORROW?~Many western military men feel that the Korean invasion
may be a diversion to involve the U, S, in Asia while Russia makes a major move in Europe. < Mos
cow’s No, 1 target is Yugoslavia’s mutinous Marshal Josip Tito. Map shows current military moves
in adjoining satellite nations that observers think may presage a Russian-planned: invasion of Yugo=
slavia, Tito has some 250,000 troops at his command. Albania has 50,000; Bulgaria, 90,000;
Romania, 200,000, and Hungary 70,000. In addition there are 90,000 Russian troops in Austria,

SIO,OOO FOR A NAME
They .tell the story about Frank
Orsatti, the late agent. He often
was carried away with the story
he was trying to sell. One day he
walked into a story editor’s office
and said:
“Here is the best story I ever
read. Make this picture and you’ll
win an Academy Award.”
The story editor looked at
Frank, glanced at the script . and
said, “I'll tell you what, Frank.
Tl give you SIO,OOO advance
right now if you can tell me the
name of the leading male charac
ter.”
Orsatti, who hadn’t even read
the story, couldn’t' do it.

Ezio Pinza is famous for this:
He was greeted backstage at a

“Mr. Pinza, I'm so crazy about

during the entire performance just
to hear you.”
“Thank you very much,” said
Pinza. “But my dear lady, I won

ISRAEL MOVIES
ARE NOISY
TEL AVIV, Israel — (AP) — If
you want to enjoy the movies in
Israel, it’s better to wear earmuffs.
The Israelis are wild about going
to the cinema. Their enthusiasm
never dies down even after they're
inside a theater.
There’s a steady rumble of con
versation while a film is being
projected. This is interspersed
with shouts of derision, whistling
and calling back and forth be
tween friends, no matter how
widely separated their seats may
be. Added to this, sweating little
boys in khaki shorts go through
the aisles at every opportunity,
crying “Ice cream!”
Even though it’s doubtful wheth
er any cinema-goer catches more
than 60 per cent of what’s said in

be used for looseming the dirt
the top layer of the suds. A damp
sponge or rough terry cloth should
be ueds for loosening the dirt.
Rub the shoes well with these
fluffy suds, taking care to avoid
saturation, Moisture should be
held down to a minimum, and that
kept upon the surface of the shoe.
Suds should be removed with a
clean cloth that has been *scaked

almost dry. .
The shoes are then ready for
drying, first by hand with a rough
dry cloth, and then by evaporation
in a breezy spot or in front of an
electric fan. Insert shoe trees or
wadded tissue paper to hold the
shape during drying. And don{
put them in the sun or use heat o

If there are laces, thesc should
be removed from the shoes and
washed separately.
