economy.
A major engineering development
for easier riding and better hand
ling are the new Oriflow shock
absorbers introduced on the 1-2-,
3-4, and 1-ton models. Featuring
an entirely new design and valv
ing system, they provide better
ride control on all road surfaces.
“w~l-aq have been improved on
all models, Loading heights are
van before on all models
“m *hwe 1-2-ton through the 2-
ton. This was accomplished by re
designing the rear springs.
A far-reaching development ir
the new Dodge higher-tonnage
trucks is that the power and eco
nomy benefits of twin carbure
tion and twin exhaust are pro
vided on more models. Engine
output has been greatly increas
ed with the result being higher
average road speeds, faster hill
climbing, greater economy, and
less driver fatigue. o
New styling on all models feat
ures a new grille formed by two
large horizontal louvres. Wrap
around bumpers give more protec
tion to fenders. Thicker seat pad
cushions and re-contoured seat
backs provide more comfort. Dri
ver visibility has been increased.
