vou should see out little gar

We've even had a morning glory
bloom. Someone brings in some
thing difrerent nearly every day.

The leaves are all such happy
things
Away up in the tree.

We like to sing the song about
“Ten little pumpkins, growing in
the sun, wondered what they'd
do when their growing days were
done.” Molly Eberhart brought
a little pumpkin from the garden
to school, Friday. We are planning
to make a real jack-o-lantern just
like the one Johnny made in one
of our Hallowe’en stories. Johnny
said; “I'm going to make a jack

Mrs. Allan’s Class
Fall is such a pretty time of the
year. The leaves turn pretty colors,
and we like to drive to the coun
try and enjoy them., We like to
gather nuts, too. The trees and
plants send seeds away to new
homes. Some of them are carried
by the wind; some of them are car- |
ried by water. Squirrels help to
plant the seeds from the oak tree.
Mrs. Thurman’s Class
~ On Friday, October 12, Miss
‘Hancock’s class entertained us

We have had a very good time |
this week, we have done some very
interesting things.
We got our weekly readers last
week. We read many interesting
things. One story we were inter
ested in was “Here Comes King
Cotton” We learned that Texas
grows the most cotton, Mississippi,
California, and rkansas rank next,
Cotton is now grown from the tl
antic to the Pacific coast. We also
learned that one-tenth of our
country’s cotton is picked by
machines cannot go over rough
bumps. One kind of cotton cloth
will not wrinkle, another is water
proof, and still another will not
soak up dirt. We will wear some
of these cotton clothes.
J. W. Coile brought some beauti

very large, but since Snappy is a
midget turtle he won't grow to be
much larger than he is now.

Adventures of Timothy Turtle,”
