Tresses Neat -
By ALICIA HART
NEA Beauty Editor
Now that the blustery winds of
autumn are running irreverent
{ingers through precisely-set coif
fures, and high coat and suit
collars are = disarranging curls,
many a woman thinks longingly of
some magic that will keep her
tresses in place.
-ictually, no wand-waving ho
cus-pocus is necessary if she de
votes a bit of forethought to
thwarting the hair-mussing that’s
mevitable at this season of the
year.
An aid in providing control for
wayward locks is a preparation
that, sprayed upon your hair in
a fine mist from its plastic squeeze
bottle, acts as a sort of liquid hair
net. *
You may use it after you've ar
ranged your hair, before setting
out to face the elements, or you
may use it to attain a smooth,
professional look at hair-setting
time, For the latter, first moisten
vour hair, then spray on the prep
aration before winding your locks
into pin curls.
Dr. Richard Jordan Gatling, of
Chicago, invented the Gatling gun.

The time is almost here for our
Nation’'s one millionth traffic
death. Our Georgia State Patrol
tells us that it will occur some
time in December. Please do all
you can to postpone this horrible
tragedv. Just remember, in 50
years the automobile, designed for
pleasure and convenience, has cost
us twice as many lives as were
lost in all the wars of our history.
October is a beautiful month in
Georgia, but it's also ad angerous
one for street and highway users.
According to our Georgia State
Patrol, early darkness, inecreased
drinking, wet leaves in the road,
football traffic and rainy weather
~ ~» som= of the factors that make
it so. Please make up for these
hazards by more careful driving
and walking.
A LIFT FOR LIFE!
