A 24 year-old woman, who gave
her address as Statesboro, was ar
rested just inside the Clarke
C-unty line here yesterday after
noon after passing two bad checks,
according to Tommy Huff, Clarke
County Sheriff.
Mre. W. W, Shinault, with
~liases of Mrs, Willlam D, Sim
mons, Rt. 1, Athens, and Mrs. Bill
aimmons, Rt. 1, Cedartown, issued
a worthless check against her ac
count, which was supposed to be
vrithin a local bank, to Xd. Booth,
M=dison avenue grocer.
The grocer took .down the Ten
r cosee tag number of the woman's
cor and then called the local bank
to check the validity of the ac
count. After finding that no such
arcount was listed, the grocer call
