Honored At Dinner Friday Night

will sponsor a spaghetti supper
on March 19 at the club house
on the Atlanta Highway. Plates
will be one dollar each and
supper is to be served from 7

tributes to the players.
Miss Jester of the YWCA Health
and Recreation department, was
introduced and spoke briefly.
Mrs. Byron Warner, of the Frine
Arts Committee of the “Y” inter
ducer her husband, who in turn
presented the young men of Geor
gia Glee Club. These students,
under Mr. Warner's direction and
accompaniment, gave a especially
fine program, which highlighted
the sevening. .
The Program of songs, finely ex
ecuted and both humororus and
melodious was broken at inter
vals by the talented performance
of Miss Jean Ferguson in a charm
ingly -humorous tap dance, ac
compained at the piano by her
| mother. Miss Betty MvCants
and little Montin: Cadenhead and
Frankie Bradley, diminutive tap
dancers, ¢id a number called “The
Good Ship Lolly-pop” accompani
ed by Mrs. Pierson.
The Glee Club members sang a
medley of University of Georgia
songs; The Railroad Chant, and
an operetta medley, with an open
ing chours and other numbers. The
delightfu! program ended with
the entire assemblage singing the
Athens High School Alma Mater.
