From Washington, Ken Turner,
Atlanta Journal writer, reported
today that Russell had asked for
appointment of former Governor

to the Democratic National Con

Arnall, now OPS director, has
incurred the enmity of the Tal

principally the two-governor con

The dinner will be unique in
another erspect —the diners will
get a substantial meal for their

broiled sirloin steaks, and there
will be pompano for the non-meat
eaters.
The dinner committee reported
today that 1,800 tickets had been
’sold through this morning. It said
the demand for tickets has been
“amrazing” and there is beginning
to be some talk of the possibility
of having to refund money to some
ticket buyers.

the old Washington High School
which was located where the
Georgian Hotel is now.”
Mrs. Walker Word and Mrs. L.
G. Duggar liked the large powder
rooms that have been provided
in the building. The color schemes

came in for praise from the %wo
