An Editorial To You From Us:—
Through this special edition of The Banner- Herald the merchants of Athens are announcing
Athens Savings Days to be held on Thursday, Fri day and Saturday, May Ist, 2nd and 3rd.
The Banner-Herald is pleased to join with the Athens merchants in presenting the details for
this big event which will be featured by the offer ing of special values by the local stores and other
business places.
While the Athens stores have always undertaken to give their customers good values, they
have combined in this enterprise to present unusually fine bargains for Athens Savings Days.
The entire City of Athens welcomes visitors to Athens for this special trade occasion. We
believe it will prove of benefit to everyone to co me to Athens on those days and see what our
merchants have to offer the public and we are certain that those who come will be glad that
they took advantage of the opportunity. :
We anticipate that thousands of Northeast G ecrgians in addition to Athens and Clarke county
citizens will benefit from the bargains that are presented in this edition which is given wide
spread distribution in addition to going to our reg ular subscribers.
