Gifts Presented
To Chase Street
School By P. T. A.
Chase Street School has been
very fortunate to have such a gen
erous P. T. A. First they purchased
one of Mrs. Mary Leath Thomas’
oil paintings for the school. This
picture has been framed and has
been passed to the class rooms for
the children to enjoy. It is a
lovely picture and it will be an
appreciated addition to our col
lection of pictures. Our new strip
film projector is another gift. This
machine is a very valuable teach
ing aid, and both the teachers and
children have found it helpful.
Dark shades have been put up in
three more rooms so these can be
enjoyed by more children.
Dusting erasers has always been
a problem to a school. This has
been solved for us by a new elec
{ric eraser duster. We are so very
proud of this.
We must mention the wonder
ful records the P. T. A. has given
the school, We have received
eighteen volumns of R. C. A. re
cords and three record players.
We are all so proud of these and
all the other wonderful things
our very cooperative P. T. A. has
done for Chase Street School.

Council Holds
Final Meefi
Final Meefing
I_ The Council held the last meet
ing of the year on Tuesday morn
iu}gl. There was quite a bit of un
finished business. The committee
| writing the questionaire about the
council gave a report. They had
a long list of good questions which
they gave to each Room Council
President to take to the room
meeting. These questions will of
fer suggestions for next year’s pro=-
gram in our school council. |
We had some visitors. Mr.
Felix Bush from the University
visited our school for two days.
We were glad he could see our
council in session. The Chase St.
apprentice teachers visited too.
We feel that our school has been
a better one this year because of
the cooperatior in our School
Council. We are glad that we have
a council because we believe it
helps us to be better citizens now,
and to continue to be good citi
zens when we get out of school.
