ATLANTA July I,—(AP)—The
hopes of six-year-old Jimmy Dan
iels of Eastman for an active, nor
mal life were placed Monday in
the hands of three surgeons at Em=
ory University Hospital.
The little boy underwent a de
licate and difficult operation for
which his generous Middle Geor
gia neighbors had raised $3,200.
He had been at the hospital
nearly two weeks undergoing pre
liminary tests and treated.. At
ttendants said he stood this trying
period “like a little man.”
