AI liens to Lilly Park, a new electric
railroad!
This is no idle rumor; it is strictly
business, and business men are at the
hack of it that will see that nothing will
intervene between their plans and such
cess.
1 can say to you that this move is now
matured. Arrangements have been
made, and ere long, legal steps will be
Liken in the matter. It is as certain of
election, as that the sun will rise on tlm
morrow. Who the parties back of
our venture are I cannot, now tell. If
1 could.you would be assured that they
would succeed.
This will give Athens two electric
railways—one each side of tin: city, and
w hen yon see them built you will see
Uhons get s'icli a “hump on her” as no
fit'" in the .South has known the like.
This church street is one the prettiest
in Athens in many places, and when tin-
railroad trespass its entire length, it
will be one of the prettiest in Georgia.
It will take money to do this work
right—but money i* forth-coining. Ii
w ill require lots of it, but this is a big
venture.
Athens lias a future and every 7 dav
convinces you its a brighter one.
