tiled the," book, spent his entire time
during the past summer coaching the
cast and directing them into the dan
gerous highways of the underworld.
"The cast who plays -Little Lost
Sister,' ” he declared, “are going to
see vice conditions as they exist before
I will consent to rehearse the play."
He had his way.
During the months in tha white
slave environs the actors and actresses
had anything but a pleasant time.
They learned a whole lot. Conse
quently then, knowing the true condi
tions, is it any wonder they are able
to present a perfect mirror or wmte
slavery?
, ’’Little Lo3t Sister" is not an of
fending play. It is a graphical pre
sentation of the "lost sister” who is
led into the underworld of Chicago,
and is ruined body and soul while a
gang of greedy pirates steal her life's
blood for their gain. No words can
tell or describe how toe situations are
brought about.
Suffice it to say thst in the third
gel wherein is depicted a "cafe" which
is nothing else but vicious dive, is one
of the most sensational climaxes ever
written. The reformer, the “lost sis
ter," the good sister and the mother
are all brought together when the
place is raided. The vile plotters are
caught, and arc exposed, which is as
it should be.
How this entangled story ends will
have to be seen. The logical conclu
sion to a life of slfame is truly de
picted. The play has been praised
broadcast. Seats now selling.
confirmed this first impression. Mr.
Evans learned that the boy lived with
his parents, who were honest peasants
and had a hard time making ends
meet. He made an offer for the serv
ices of the boy to join his company
and sing for American theatregoers as
he had been singing that first night
in the street of Rotterdam. When
the boy’s parents found that their son
would have lo go to America to avail
of the offer they at onee shook their
heads, “no,” they could not consent to
that, he was “too young,” bye and byo
perhaps, but not now,” and so the miff*
strel lure was denied. But Evans has
had many letters from the boy’s fatfc*

Master Paul Van Dyke, is an
nounced as a Yodler, in the list of vo
calists accompanying "Honey Boy”
Evans, to the Colonial theater, mati
nee and night, February 14. It is
said to be his first appearance on any
stage and there is a pretty little tale
connected with his engagement by
George Evans. During the summer
of 1910, “Honey Boy’» Evans spent his
vacation abroad and his travels took
him to the famed dykes of Holland. In
the city of Rotterdam one evening he
was attracted by a boy who -was yod-
ling, as only the Holland youngsters
can. The minstrel man’s managerial
ear was attracted and the use of a few
coins soon brought the bojf to him. The
little fellow was apparently poor, for
his clothes hardly covered him, and

Prince of Tonight,” with Tom Arnold,
in the title role will be presented at
the Colonial theater at an early date.
Mr. Arnold’s role is that of a college
youth, poor but resourceful, who is
spurned by a beautiful heiress whom
he dares love, and who eventually wins
her after being transformed by the
mystic influence of a blooming cen
tury plant, into a prince of the mythi-
ca! land of Lunitania. It is a pretty
story, well told and gives the authors
an opportunity to introduce a number
of pretty songs, snappy and witty
lines, pretty girls, an excellent male
chorus, a wealth of beautiful scenery,
electrical effects, attractive costumes
and everything, that goes to. majce.up
