That permanent registration law
won’t help you any this year. If you
have been sitting back comfortably by
the fire, imagining that the new law
would save you the trouble of regis
tering this year, your illusions are
destined to be shattered, for it doesn't
become effective until 1916.
In the meantime all voters whs have
not registered are given from now
through the 6th of April. It has been
published a number of times that the
kooks would close April 1, but this
was in error.
However, citizens who have regis
tered since October 1 are eligible to
the county primaries.
GLEE CLUB TAKES
TRIP ABOUT STATE
The Georgia Glee and Mandolin club
will leave Athens on Monday, March
23, for a week’s trip areund the state,
visiting many towns of central Geor
gia. The club will show In LaGraage
on Monday and the managers are very
confident of drawing a good crowd, at
they showed there last year, and at
that time were highly praised.
The club will then go to Carrollton
on the 24th, and to Forsyth on the
next day. Here too the audience should
be rather large on account of Bessie
Tift College which is located there.
From Forsyth the club will go to Ma
con whto they, should receive aif au
dience WWeefcyan girls.
As Gordon Institute will be cele
brating' “Founder's Day” on the 7th,
the Glee club will go there on that
date and then they will show in MI1-
Icdgeville on Saturday.
