GOOD MANNERS , it
CLUB.
A “Good Manners Club” is the
next reform organisation in New
York. The suffragists after com
pleting their campaign In November,
arc planning to work for the improve
ment of manners in the city. Miss
Mary Garrett Hay, has come out
strong for the reform, and she will
have the aid of many prominent club
women when the campaign begins.
She maintains that much of the bad
manners in the shops is coused by
persons who should know better. That
the shoppers should use a higher de
gree of courtesy and patience is one
of her strongest arguments.

Tuesday evening the Philathea
class of tlie Baptist Tabernacle en
tertained on the lawn before Mrs. J.
D. Vaughn's -home. The Tabernacle
Baraca class any many sumnu|'
school students enjoyed the evening.
After delicious refreshments were
served an invitation was extended to
all to meet with these two classes
Sunday morning at 9:45 o’clock and
assist in thjeir program of work for
the summer, as much has been plan
ned to keep up to their high standard
during the hot weather.

In honor of their guests, Miss Rose
Lavene, of Atlanta; Misses Lily and
Kathleen Moore will entertain this
evening with a supper party at
Mitchell's Bridge. The twelve invit

automobiles., Mrs. W. R. Moore will
chaperone this happy crowd of boys
and girls.
