"Gets-ll" foi Corns,
SURE as Sunrise!
“ The Pigeon Lady” and Her Friend
Any Corn* With “Ge(»-U” on It, In an
Absolute “Goner!”
Yes, it’s the simplest thinp in the
world to get rid of a corn when you
use “Gets-It,” the world’s greates:
com-ridder. Really, it's almost a
pleasure to have corns just to see
them oome off with “Gets-It." It jui
loosen* the corn from the true flesh
easily, and then makes it come “clean
off” Forty-eight hours ends corn*
for keeps. It makes the use of tape,
corn-squeezing bandage*?, irritating
salves, knives, scissors, and razors
really look ridiculous. Get rid of
those corns quickly, surely, painlessly
—just easily—with “Gets-It." Foi
warta and bunions, too. It’s the 20th
century way.
“Geta-It" is sold by all druggists

Miss Hele n Jones.
* r r WLEM
Atlanta, Ga., September 28.—This
is Atlanta's “pigeon lady." Doves an<
pigeons seem to accept her as their
particular mistress. Even strnge
ones she has never seen before wit?
-•ome at her call.
These photographs were made at a
time when she was illustrating the
unusual power she has over her little
friends of the air.
The "pigeon lady" is Miss Helen
lones, age 18 years, daughter of Mr
ind Mrs. W. I. Jones, of 128 Lafay-
itte Drive, Ansley Park. The pigeons
ire prize “rollers" owned by Forest
Adair of Druid Hills.
Until last week, the “pigeon lad-
uid Mr. Adair's pets had never seen
?ach other. It is true that the “roll
-*rs" had been tamed by kindness
ind would fly near their master. Bu
they were timid of strangers. They
won’t go near other visitors. But
when the little "pigeon lady” calle*.
to them, they swooped down a<*
perched on her shoulders,, on her hair,
ind covered the ground at her feet
It was as though she had beckoned to
he white clouds, and a torn patcl
with dots and dashes of color had
whirled softly down.
The one that perched on top of hei
head was like the figure piece of i
helmet. Another, resting on hei
shoulder, seemed trained for picturt
posing. A third, his little claw fee
on her wrist, reached out for the
irrain of corn she held beween hei
lips.
All about her the ground was i
carpet of fluttering wings, like St
Mark’s square in Venice, where th<
pigeons fly down from the tall Doge
palace to be fed.
At one instant she stood with he
hands outsetretehed and the pigeorn
streaming toward her. They ha
dropped from high in the air an
seemed to bo flying straight into he
arms. It was like an imaginativ.
picture that an artist had done verj
daintily.* But when she lay on thi
grass and called to them, and the)
sjivooped' from the ►i’r, forming a
coverlet of beating wings, hiding al
but her face, it was as though an ar
list with imagination run riot ha<
drawn a picture of the "pigeon lady.’
She says* doves and pigeons jus'
take her for their very good friend
and that’s the only reason she car
give.

CARRIE NATION’S PHOTO
TO BE IN HALL OF FAM1
Wichita, Kan., October 5.—Carrie
Nation's portrait and her famou?
hatchet are to he placed in the statt
historical socictv rooms at Topeka.
For years a photograph of Mrs. Na
tion, together with her hatchet, hung
on the walls of the Wichita police
station, where they were placed as a
result of the frequent arrest of Mrs.
Nation and her associates for smash-
ini' saloon windows, bar fixtures and
mirrors. The board of commissioners
of Wichita reeentiv ordered that the
photograph and the hatchet be re
moved and given to Mrs. Myra Me
Henry, of Wichita, who was nineteen
times in jail with Mrs. Nation for
disturbing the peace.
The photograph of Mrs. Nation is
being enlarged, Wichita business men
paying the cost. William K. Connelly,
custodian of the Kansas Historical so
ciety, has notified Mrs. McHenry that
he will place the portrait and the
hatchet in the main gallery of Me
morial hail, at Topeka.
