KEEP YOUR CAR PROPERLY
OILED ANI1 CREASED
(By Joe Means.« «
There is no car made that will run
without proper lubrication and failure
to give due attention to this one point
of an automobile causes lots of trou
ble to owners. All the grease cups,
oil chambers—in fact every place that
requires oil and grease-should be
watched carefully. The gauge shows
when the gaa la low but it takes
' closer observation to idetect the need
of greases and oila. A well lubricated
cor will give you the best service and
owners who care properly for their
car look to this point,
YOUR CAR MUST BE CARED
' FOR AS.HUMA.V BEIMiS
(By W. H. Chafin.)
I have had occasion to observe prac
tically .very make of automobiles and
making the auto a study I have no
ticed many things that if owners
would take notice of they would have
less trouble with thtHr cars. Too
many of them are’ satisfied just so
long al their machine''ta running, de
spite the fact that it may heed greas
ing or is wearing abnornmlly at some
friction point. An automobile is al
most human and. has got to come in
for some consideration from its care
taker. Its upkeep is not expensive
if care ia given at the proper time.
KNOW YOUR CAR BUT
DON’T ’TINKER" WITH IT
(By Roy Eppe.)
Know your automobile but don't
“tinker” with it. Lota of damage is
done cars by someone trying to "fix”
them when they haven't the slightest
idea what the trouble is. If you know
your car you can readily see whether
you can help yourself out of trouble
or not. If you can't you won’t try
and will send for someone who can.
The automobile is our business; it's
our tnechanics’ business and
alwaya glad to give any information
deiired to owners or prospective own
ers about the care and management s»f*
a car.
YOUR CAR IS AN
EARNING INVESTMENT
(By Joe Downs.)
If you are to enjoy the full benefit
of your automobile you must have it
equipped as it should be and then
give it every care. When you put
$500 or $1500 in un investment you
watch it; The earnings from your
automobile investment come in time
saved and the actual enjoyment you
and your family and friends get out
of the car; it’s a great health pre
server and is worth taking care of..
Get a good car, when you jmy acces
sories and repairs know what you are
getting there also.
MAKE YOUR CAR
LAST A LIFETIME
(By Ben Epps.)
The average »South«m man who
owns an automobile fails to give it
the attention he should; according to
my observation in dealing with own
ers from every section of the coun
try. The intensive New Englander
cares for it as he does his wfftch and
therefore not only geta maximum
service but his car lasta practically
a lifetime. If the average automobile,
with our roads and care in driving,
was cared for as it shpuld be, the
bolts and all parts kept tight, prop
erly oiled and looked after, it would
run and give satisfactory service for
a long time. An auto needs care from
the day it’s run out of the dealers
show rooms.
